CFO

Our client is a large Indian conglomerate with focus on steel & auto businesses. We are hiring for their steel subsidiary company which is a listed entity

Our new leader is expected to help drive further efficiencies in financial processes and systems and help achieve higher revenues and margins. Over and above, the CFO will be a core member of the greenfield project execution committee, from cost and completion perspective.
Role Dimensions:
Controllership: Closure of quarterly and annual statement of accounts; balance sheet; working capital; cash flow; board MIS; reporting to regulatory authorities; tax administration; company law administration, oversight on statutory audit; audit committee - findings and review; capex, ROI, and guidance of company’s future performance.
FP&A: Forecasting; budgeting; product-wise, segment-wise, region-wise business plan projections; factoring market opportunities in the business plans; continuous review of business plans v/s actuals almost on a weekly basis; corrective action; collaborate with controller organization in revising plans; assessment of landing financial results for the month and the quarter.
Oversight on corporate functions: Guide and direct teams for taxation; forex; transfer price; IT systems; company secretary; internal audit
External market facing functions: Interactions with Banks; bond houses; mutual funds; credit rating agencies; existing creditors; restructuring; refinancing, raising new capital - both debt and equity; investor relations with funds and IBs, with an aim to derive right valuation for the company.
Corporate governance: Best practices for early warning systems on potential risk areas; transparent reporting to the board; highlighting financial, operational, and reputational risk; devising risk mitigation strategy; initiative for sustainable business operations.

Experience: 20 – 25 years of experience in various facets of finance function.
Leadership stint: Atleast 5 years as CFO, with an underlying revenue of atleast INR 2000 Cr.
Preferred industry: Significant experience in metals industry, or B2B process industries like chemicals, paper, fertilizer, refineries/ petrochemicals, industrial products, or from bulk manufacturing.
Functional expertise: Controllership, FP&A, and corporate finance.
Qualification: CA or MBA Finance
