Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Chief of Engineering (COE) with a strong focus on
Talent Management to lead our engineering team and drive strategic initiatives within our plant.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing engineering operations, ensuring
technical excellence, and managing talent development to support our manufacturing goals
and foster a high-performance culture.
Key Responsibilities
Engineering Leadership
• Strategic Planning: Develop and implement engineering strategies aligned with plant
objectives, ensuring continuous improvement in processes and technologies.
• Project Management: Oversee engineering projects from conception through
execution, ensuring timely delivery, adherence to budget, and alignment with quality
standards.
• Technical Oversight: Provide guidance on engineering issues, troubleshoot complex
problems, and ensure the application of best practices in engineering.
• Innovation: Promote innovation by identifying and integrating new technologies and
methodologies to enhance plant performance and competitiveness.
Talent Management
• Recruitment & Staffing: Lead the recruitment process for engineering positions,
ensuring the selection of top talent. Collaborate with HR to develop job descriptions,
conduct interviews, and make hiring decisions.
• Training & Development: Design and implement training programs to enhance the
skills and capabilities of engineering staff. Foster a culture of continuous learning and
professional growth.
• Performance Management: Develop and manage performance appraisal processes.
Set objectives, provide regular feedback, and ensure alignment with individual and team
goals.
• Employee Engagement: Cultivate a positive work environment by promoting employee
engagement, addressing concerns, and recognizing achievements.
Operational Efficiency
• Process Optimization: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance
operational efficiency and reduce costs. Leverage data and analytics to drive decisionmaking.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
Monitor adherence to internal policies and industry regulations.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including production, quality,
and maintenance to achieve plant objectives and resolve operational challenges.

Requirements

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree (From Tier 1or Tier2 colleges )
• Proven experience as an HR Manager or similar role in a manufacturing or heavy engineering environment.
• Solid understanding of HR practices and employment laws.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build .
• relationships at all levels of the organization.
• Strong leadership and decision-making skills, with a proactive and solution-oriented approach.
• Proficiency in HRIS and other HR-related software; experience with ERP systems is beneficial.
